Michael Cole, PhD, completed his doctoral training in clinical psychology at the California Institute for Human Science. His scholarly interests include depth psychology, symbolic and imaginal processes, and the interface between psychotherapy and meaning-oriented approaches. His doctoral research examined Tarot as a symbolic medium within psychotherapy, with particular attention to archetypal imagery, reflective process, and existential meaning-making.
His work is informed by Carl Jung’s analytical psychology and Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy, as well as broader traditions in depth, existential, and transpersonal psychology. This research contributes to interdisciplinary conversations concerning the role of symbolism, narrative, and imagination in psychological understanding.
